Julie Murphy is President of Sage Communications, an integrated marketing and public relations firm that specializes in technology and government. She’s also serving as the President of Women in Technology (WIT), a nonprofit serving the educational, professional and mentoring needs of women in the technology industry in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.

Julie has over two decades of experience representing a wide range of emerging and Fortune 500 companies in the cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital transformation arenas. Committed to supporting women in the technology industry, Julie is a dedicated leader and mentor who works closely with the Sage team, coaching the next generation of technology marketing talent. Leveraging her many years of experience, Julie consistently seeks to highlight the outstanding achievements made by women in the field.

Julie is Chair of George Mason University’s Insight Committee for the Communications Department and often serves as a guest speaker at several local universities. In addition, she serves on the Executive Leadership Team for March of Dimes’ Heroines of Washington gala. Julie is the recipient of the prestigious American Marketing Association “M” Award and was named an international finalist for PRNEWS’ Person of the Year. She speaks regularly at conferences, including PRNEWS, DC PR Summit, Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit, and IABC. She graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
