Danielle Davis

Director of Technology Policy, Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies
Danielle A. Davis, Esq. is an accomplished attorney with a focus on technology and telecommunications law, policy development, and civil rights advocacy. Currently Danielle is the Director of Technology Policy at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, leading their work on broadband access and affordability, content moderation, and privacy. Previously, Danielle was Assistant General Counsel for the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), advising the USF Lifeline Program and the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), and Policy Counsel for the Multicultural, Media, Telecom, and Internet Council (MMTC) advising senior management on tech and telecom policy and managing the legal fellowship program. Additionally, Danielle has held technology fellowships at the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) and the National Urban League (NUL), furthering her impact in civil rights and public policy.
 

Holding a J.D. from Barry University School of Law, a B.S. in Economics, and a B.A. in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University, she is a member of the Florida Bar, the Federal Communications Bar Association, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Danielle is also a skilled writer and editor, evidenced by her role as Editor-in-chief of the Southern Journal of Policy and Justice and as a Senior Editor of Barry Law Review, and has authored publications at the intersection of technology, law, and civil rights.
